Is it me or is the relatively new kartoo.com just plain weird. It's the kind of thing that looks like it's got some fantastic technology behind it but that you just can't work out how to use. The big success of Google is that it was plain, simple and intuitive - maybe Kartoo are just hoping we'll all like the graphics. Sorry kartoo, but I actually had to think about where I was meant to put the query in your engine and then the results - what are they all about? Google still has it right with their crisp, clean and simple interface where in the most novice net user can figure out where they have to type and what buttons they have to click.
